Tapijten & Lopers
Size decides everything. In a seating area, let at least the front legs of the sofa and armchairs stand on the rug - a rug that floats free makes a room look cluttered rather than pulled together. Under a dining table, add 60 cm on every side so a chair can be pushed back without rolling off.
An anti-slip underlay keeps a runner in place and protects the floor underneath. New rugs arrive with fold lines; lay them crease-down for a few days rather than forcing them flat with heat.
Works with coffee tables and the rest of the living room.
